Dating back to the 1800s Il Casale Delle Rose is a working farm in Val di Noto. Just 3.5 km outside Caltagirone it serves an organic breakfast of homemade produce. Il Casale Delle Rose has extensive grounds that include a swimming pool and a horse riding stable. Cookery classes are available on site and the restaurant serves Mediterranean cuisine. Breakfast includes homemade biscuits and milk and jams from the farm. Rooms have a rustic décor and overlook the garden and some have a balcony. All feature a fan TV and private bathroom with toiletries. Guests can take part in the farm's activities such as garden tending goat milking and cheesemaking. Archery and bowls are also available on site. Set in central Sicily the Casale is an hour's drive from Ragusa and 35 km from the coast. Siracusa and Catania are both around 90 minutes away by car.
