The Caledonian Hotel overlooks Ullapool harbour and the colourful fishing boats on Loch Broom. The hotel is located in the centre of Ullapool and a short 3 minute walk from the ferry terminal to Stornoway. Free parking is available to the rear of the hotel and WiFi is available at the property. Built early 1900s the Caledonian is one of the oldest hotels in Ullapool. Ullapool is the port for the Outer Hebrides and therefore good roads allow easy access to this spectacular highland location. On the west coast of Scotland Ullapool benefits from the Gulf Stream this is particularly in evidence at Inverewe Gardens where visitors can enjoy the many tropical and exotic shrubs and trees that grow there. It is also located on the North Coast 500 route. Ullapool is the ideal location for exploring the west Highlands including Loch Maree Lochnivar Gairloch and the Corrieshalloch Gorge. The capital of the Highlands Inverness is under 2 hours away providing ample opportunity for shopping trips.
