General
Situated in Matjiesvlei just 16 km outside of Calitzdorp Matjiesvlei Cottages offers historic self-catering cottages in a tranquil environment with mountain views. Free WiFi is available. The cottages are build in traditional Karoo style. Each air-conditioned unit has kitchen facilities a furnished patio indoor BBQ facilities and a bathroom. Both the Standard and Delux 3 Bedroom Cottages feature an additional bathroom. On warm summer days guests can go for a swim in the river at the nearby private picnic site. Other activities include fishing hiking and cycling. The Steering’s Kloof Hiking Trail in the Swartberg Mountains takes about 2 hours and is on the farm.
