A Victorian mansion style establishment hosts the Ashanti Lodge Backpackers. Located close to the foot of Table Mountain the wooden sun deck and the garden of the hostel offer views of the landscape. Accommodations include bright dormitory rooms and private rooms. Some features normal bed or iron wrought bunk beds. All have a decor with designer touch. Communal areas of the Ashanti Lodge Backpackers include an outdoor swimming pool a travel center and the Kumasi Café with billiard. 24-Hour Front Desk can help with packed lunches laundry service and airport shuttle. Internet cafe available and charges are applicable. All guests in dormitory rooms can partake of a simple backpacker breakfast provided in the communal kitchen while all guests in private rooms have the cooked breakfast buffet in the upstairs cafe. Longstreet with various restaurants day and nightlife is about a 10 minute walk away.
