General

Assendelft Lodge and Bush Camp is located in the Central Karoo just off the N1 highway and 45 km away from Prince Albert. The lodge offers luxury accommodation and a safari style bush camp. The rooms at the lodge are equipped with air conditioning tea-and-coffee making facilities en suite shower and a private patio. The spacious and rustic style chalets at the bush camp are partly tented and come equipped with linen en suite shower and a barbecue area with outdoor seating. Guest have access to a communal kitchen. Optional breakfast is available for surcharge and for guests staying at the lodge dinners can be arranged in the dining area. The farm and surrounding area offers opportunities to spot small game to do bird watching or to simply enjoy a picnic at the Vlakkraal river. Swimming is possible at a nearby dam and there is a fossil trail which can explored on a guided tour.. The scenic town of Prince Albert is the gateway to the famous Swartberg Mountain Pass. The Meiringspoort Waterfall is an 1 hours' drive from the farm and Beaufort West is 116 km away.
