Positioned on the edge of a cliff Acra-Retreat is located on the border of the malaria-free Elands Krans Nature Reserve. It is a good stopover point between Johannesburg and the Kruger National Park. It features a seasonal outdoor pool and a children's pool and barbecue facilities. Horse riding mountain climbing abseiling and spa treatments can be arranged at the reception. The area abounds in birdlife including species like owls swallows and guinea fowls. All rooms offer a private entrance to the decks with mountains views. Each room is fitted with a flat-screen TV and satellite channels. Tea/coffee facilities a safe and fan are standard. Acra-Retreat Mountain View Lodge has a fully licensed pub. Sundowners can also be enjoyed on the deck and dinners are served on request. The hotel is located on the way to the Kruger Park 2.5 hour’s drive from Johannesburg. Free secure and private parking is possible on site.
